Claudia Klinkenberg confidently moves between many different styles; her musical and emotional range is far-reaching. In her programs, she combines ancient music, classical, world music, jazz and pop.
She has performed in Bonn, Stuttgart (Mercedes-Benz-Museum), Karlsruhe (multiple times on the European Cultural Days festival), Münster (Westphalian State Museum), in the city of Bach Köthen (the famous Spiegelsaal, or Hall of Mirrors), Munich (BMW World), Milan, Paris (Festival of St. Cloud), Vienna (Bösendorfer Hall), Los Angeles, in a number of cities in India and in many other cities in Germany and around the world.
In her hometown of Ettlingen, she conducts the summer festival “Classics in the Casino”. She founded the orchestra “Camerata Ettlingen”, with which she regularly performs Baroque music.
Klinkenberg has made many radio and television appearances (among them Mozart piano sonatas for the Germany radio, and chamber music by Olivier Messiaen for the SWR).
In 2006, as a Western performer interpreting Indian music, she was interviewed and performed on TV in Southeast Asia and on the Indian TV channel Amrita.
Her recordings demonstrate well her wide range of styles. She has recorded contemporary composers, rhythmic world music, and Mozart in all his crystal clarity.
Knut Franke, editor of the magazine FonoForum, has pronounced Klinkenberg as "ready for the German Record Prize” after hearing her interpretations of Albéniz.
Critics praise her subtle touch, the sheer beauty of her sound, and the deep spirituality of her interpretations. Listeners around the globe are deeply moved by her playing.
